These shoes are so comfy because they are very pliable and lightweight. And they fit a standard width foot well. These shoes were a favorite of this boy's older brother, so we got the younger boy a pair, plus we got big brother a second pair as his first one's were getting worn. Though the old shoes are still in pretty good shape with no tears nor any parts coming apart.UPDATE: I still stand by my earlier review, but when I was shopping for shoes for my 18 month old grandson, I thought these are just too expensive for him since he'll grow out of them long before they ware out. I found an alternative that is cheaper and which is very comparable.
